This is a love story of a band and of its members. It's a story of their life on the road, their hopes and dreams, of the mishaps that happen to them, and how music gave them hope in life. The movie depicts the bond among the members as well as how music turns their lives around. The movie Baaraat was released in 2016. The movie is a story of a bunch of friends who are all in love. The friends get split up from each other when one of them becomes a minister and marries his girlfriend. He tells the others to get married too, but disagrees to it. Then he goes back to his hometown where he meets a girl named Riddhi who was a friend's sister.She again becomes his friend again and because of her, he realizes his mistake and rushes back to stop the marriage but couldn't reach on time. Then the movie revolves around their journey together after marriage .Samir Dharmadhikari (Farhan Akhtar) is the son of Sampat (Shernaz Patel). Samir's father, the owner of Hotel Empire, dies in an accident when Samir was just a kid. This makes his mother into an alcoholic. Samir runs away from his hometown to Punjab. He is shocked to see their living conditions and starts dreaming to change the same. He meets many people who are having the same dreams but can't do anything about it because of lack of money. Samir starts playing music with his guitar at small places for money. One day he meets Riddhi (Radhika Apte) who also dreams to build a stadium for her college's band group. He also meets two friends of Riddhi, Akshara (Vaishali D Shukla) and Supinder (Banita Sandhu). He helps them to build their stadium. They all dream of band Baaja, Baaraat.The soundtrack is composed by Sachin–Jigar while the lyrics are penned by Priya Saraiya, Mayur Puri and Kumaar. The movie had an average opening at the box-office. Times of India rated it 3.5/5 Stars & gave positive reviews for the movie saying that it is "not just an ordinary rom-com. It also has all the ingredients of a classic love story. The performances are brilliant, be it Farhan or Radhika or Vaishali or Banita, they were all outstanding".
